T-Mobile users, you’ll soon have a new option when it comes to buying a Windows 10 smartphone.
The Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 will launch at T-Mobile on November 10 for $469.99. The handset will come with a pair of virtual reality goggles as well as some preloaded games and videos. Buyers will also get a 45-day Hulu Plus trial, 30-day Groove Music trial, and a free copy of the Halo: Spartan Assault game for Windows 10 Mobile.
The Idol 4S with Windows 10 is a high-end smartphone, offering specs like a Snapdragon 820, 21-megapixel camera with Sony IMX230 sensor and dual-tone flash, rear fingerprint reader, and a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED display. It’s also packing dual front-facing speakers and a USB Type-C port for charging the phone’s 3,000mAh battery.
Also included in Idol 4S with Windows 10 is 64GB of storage, a microSD slot for adding even more storage, 3.5GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle lens and a flash.
Continuum is included with the Idol 4S with Windows 10’s bag of tricks, too. This feature lets you connect your phone to a dock or adapter, hook up a display, keyboard, and mouse to it, and then use the Idol 4S like a traditional PC.
The Idol 4S with Windows 10 is actually T-Mobile’s second Windows handset from Alcatel this year, following the Fierce XL. That device was a fairly entry-level model, though, and so it’s good to see a high-end Windows smartphone hitting T-Mo’s shelves. The platform may not be for everyone, but for those that do like it, the Idol 4S with Windows 10 looks like a solid piece of hardware.
