There are lots of deals on Android phones happening this week, and today Alcatel added one more to the list.
The unlocked Alcatel Idol 4S is now available from Amazon for $349.99. That’s $50 off Alcatel’s own asking price, and the reason that it’s being discounted is that this particular version does not include the virtual reality headset or Incipio case included with other bundles.
What is included with this Idol 4S is the phone, JBL headphones, a Quick Charge charger with USB cable, and a tempered glass screen protector.
The Alcatel Idol 4S runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow on a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display and includes 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot for adding even more storage. There’s also a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge support.
Rounding out the Idol 4S’s feature set is a set of front speakers, a rear fingerprint reader, and a side-mounted Boom Key that can perform different functions depending on where you are in the phone. For example, pressing the Boom Key on the lock screen will unlock the phone and let you start taking photos, while pressing it in the music app will boost your audio’s bass and volume.
