AT&T today announced its new streaming TV service, DirecTV Now, and the service has a benefit that’ll please AT&T customers.

AT&T Mobility customers that sign up for DirecTV Now will be able to watch video in the service’s mobile app without using their mobile data. That means that you’ll be able to stream channels like ESPN, CNN, Cartoon Network, and without touching your high-speed data.

DirecTV Now customers on AT&T will also be able to stream Fullscreen content in the FreeView app or Fullscreen app.

DirecTV Now apps will be available on Android and iOS, and you’ll be able to try the service free for seven days when you download one of the apps. There will also be DirecTV apps on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast (Android at launch, iOS in 2017), Google Cast-enabled LeEco evolves and Vizio SmartCast Displays, and IE, Chrome, and Safari web browsers.

Support for Roku devices, Amazon Fire tablets, and smart TVs from Samsung and other brands will come in 2017.

AT&T will offer four DirecTV Now packages:

  • Live a Little: $35 per month (60+ channels)
  • Just Right: $50 per month (80+ channels)
  • Go Big: $60 per month (100+ channels)
  • Gotta Have it: $70 per month (120+ channels)
  • HBO or Cinemax can be added for $5 each per month

For a limited time, customers can sign up for the Go Big package for $35 per month and keep that price for as long as they keep the service. And if you prepay for three months of service,  AT&T will give you a free Apple TV. Alternatively, you can get a free Amazon Fire TV Stick when you prepay for one month of service.

The streaming TV market has been heating up lately, with services like Sling TV and Playstation Vue becoming popular with cord-cutters. Now AT&T is entering the game with DirecTV Now, and it’s trying to help itself stand out with special offers like the Go Big discount and the ability for AT&T customers to stream without using their data. That latter move is sure to cause net neutrality concerns for some, but we’ll have to wait and see if anything actually comes of it. Until then, there will likely be some AT&T customers that give DirecTV Now a look.

DirecTV Now will launch on Wednesday, November 30.
