Big news, Instagram users: a new update to Instagram is finally going to allow you to edit captions on your post.
Instagram just announced that it’s rolling out updated versions of its Android and iOS apps that’ll allow you to edit the caption on a post that you’ve already put up. All that you have to do is hop into the “Edit” option that’ll appear in the menu underneath your photo.
Additionally, Instagram is improving its Explore functionality. The page, which is now identified with a magnifying glass, will now contain Photos and People tabs. The Photos tab is just like the regular Explore tab is now, showing you photos and videos that you may be interested in. Meanwhile, the People tab will show you “interesting accounts” that you might like to follow.
Instagram says that version 6.10 of its Android app and version 6.2 of its iOS app are now rolling out in their respective app stores. While today’s update may not sound huge, the ability to go back an edit captions is an awesome feature that’ll save you the trouble of deleting and reuploading a post or feeling anguish of leaving a typo as is.
