Apple will charge $69 to replace a lost AirPod

Apple AirPods and Charging Case

One of the popular criticisms of Apple’s AirPods is that because they’re wireless and small, it’ll be easy to lose them. And now we know much you’ll have to pay for a replacement AirPod if that happens to you.

Apple has revealed that it’ll cost $69 to repair or replace an AirPod. Those prices also apply to the charging case that the AirPods come with.

If you find that you eventually need to replace the battery in your AirPods or charging case because the battery capacity decreases, that’ll cost you $49 each.

It’s not exactly surprising that it won’t be cheap to replace one of Apple’s AirPods if you end up losing one. After all, they’re tiny, wireless earbuds, and they’re not exactly cheap to begin with. Now that we know how much they’ll cost to replace, you’ve got even more of a reason to be sure that if your AirPods aren’t in your ears, they should be in their charging case so that you don’t lose ‘em.
