If you’ve got a non-Pixel or non-Nexus device, you’re probably wondering when your update to Android Nougat. Well now we’ve got an answer for anyone that owns an Honor 8.
The Honor 8 will begin receiving its Android Nougat update in February 2017. Honor parent company Huawei confirmed this news today, adding that the update will also include its custom EMUI 5.0 interface and the new features found on the Mate 9.
One of the specific goodies that’ll be included with the update is an app drawer, a feature that some Android users are accustomed to but is missing from some manufacturers’ custom UIs. The update will also include the machine learning algorithm’s in EMUI 5.0, which Huawei says will analyze a user’s behavior and prioritize frequently used apps to optimize processing resources.
Honor 8 users, you’re not far from your serving of Nougat, so hang tight!
