LG G Pad III 10.1 is a new Android tablet with a kickstand

LG G Pad III 10.1 official

We don’t see a ton of new Android tablets come to market anymore, but there’s one making its debut today courtesy of the folks at LG.

The LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE is now official, and as you might’ve guessed, it’s got a 10.1-inch display. That screen has a resolution of 1920x1200. There’s also a 5-megapixel camera above that display, and a second 5-megapixel on the back of the tablet.

Other specs of LG’s new tablet include an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot for adding even more storage, a 6,000mAh battery, 4G LTE,and a USB Type-C port. There’s a kickstand that can prop the G Pad III 10.1 up on its own, too.

On the software side, LG has included Android 6.0.1 and some special tweaks of its own. Those include a Times Square UX that’ll turn the tablet into a desk clock, tabletop calendar, or digital photo frame, as well as a reader mode that’ll reduce blue light to make using the G Pad III 10.1 easier on your eyes.

The LG G Pad III 10.1 will launch in Korea for 429,000 Won ($361 USD). There’s no word yet on when or if the device will launch in other regions.

While the Android tablet market isn’t nearly as big as it once was, it’s good to see LG releasing a new device. There are still some folks out there that want tablets, and now those people have a new device to choose from. Here’s to hoping that the G Pad III 10.1 sees a wide release so that more folks can check it out.
