T-Mobile recently announced that it’d begin sales of the Nexus 6 on November 12, but now it appears that T-Mo has decided to push its launch back a bit.
T-Mobile just revealed on Twitter that it will now launch the Nexus 6 on November 19, one week later than originally planned. T-Mo says that it made this decision in order to “give T-Mobile customers the best experience possible.”
Recent leaks have suggested that T-Mobile’s initial Nexus 6 inventory would be constrained, so today’s decision was likely made so that the magenta carrier would have more units to sell at launch. Sure, it’s kind of a bummer that T-Mo customers will have to wait a week longer to get an N6 from their carrier, but I’m sure T-Mobile feels that that’s better than dealing with a bunch of folks that are frustrated about limited stock.
UPDATE: We’ve heard from sources that this delay is the result of Motorola failing to ship additional Nexus 6 inventory to T-Mobile last weekend. The result of that would’ve been that some stores wouldn’t have even had any demo units on display, let alone models for sale, on the November 12.
