If you’re a heavy Facebook user, you’re going to want to check out today’s News Feed announcement from Zuckerberg and Co.
Facebook is now rolling out new ways for you to control what appears in your News Feed. The settings will now show you a list of the people, Pages and Groups that you’ve seen in the News Feed over the past week and then quickly unfollow or refollow them from that menu.
Additionally, you can now fine-tune the number of posts in your News Feed. If you stumble upon a story that you’re not interested in, you can tap the arrow in that post’s upper right corner and then choose to hide it. Now when you hide a story, you’ll be able to tell Facebook that you want to see less content from a particular person or Page. Choosing to see less will let you unfollow that person or Page completely if you’d like.
These new News Feed settings are available today on the desktop and mobile versions of Facebook. You can also give feedback about your News Feed today on the desktop, with mobile support slated to arrive “in the coming weeks.”
