The Android Wear family started small with just two members, but it’s been exploding recently, and now we know when another device will join the lineup.
The ASUS ZenWatch will go on sale in the U.S. on November 9. The device will be on sale at Best Buy stores initially, with a Google Play launch expected to occur at a later date. Pricing for ASUS’s Android Wear offering will be set at $199.
The spec list for the ASUS ZenWatch doesn’t differ wildly from other Android Wear devices. It’s got a 1.63-inch 320x320 AMOLED screen, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, a 9 axis sensor, IP55 rating for resistance to water and a Gorilla Glass 3 on its display.
Of course, while its spec list may not differ much from other Android Wear hardware, the ZenWatch does look a bit different that its siblings. Its got a square screen and face that’s got rounded edges, and when combined with the included leather band, the ZenWatch looks pretty handsome.
Are you thinking about strapping an ASUS ZenWatch onto your wrist?
