Pokémon Go players, the big Halloween event may be over, but today there’s some good news to make you happy again.
Pokémon Go developer Niantic today announced that daily bonuses are coming soon. As the name implies, daily bonuses will give you extra goodies for playing on Pokémon Go every day. You’ll get even bigger bonuses if you catch a Pokémon for seven days straight or visit PokéStops for seven days in a row.
Here are the bonuses that you’ll get once this feature is rolled out:
Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- 600 Stardust
Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- 2,400 Stardust
Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- A number of additional items
Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- A greater number of additional items
Niantic notes that, for example, if you catch a Pokémon on a Tuesday, you’ll be eligible for the next daily bonus once the clock strikes 12:00 am local time on Wednesday. That means that you don’t necessarily have to wait 24 hours to get your next daily bonus.
Daily bonuses look like a nice way to help you gain more XP quickly. What’s nice is that while there is a Lucky Egg item that’ll give you double XP for a brief period of time, those Lucky Eggs are a limited resource, while these daily bonuses are not.
There’s no word on exactly when daily bonuses will begin rolling out, but Niantic does say that they’ll be available “soon,” so stay tuned.
