Did you switch to iOS in 2017?

Apple iPhone X

2017 has been a year of some pretty awesome phones. As is par for the course anymore, but with devices like the Galaxy S8, Pixel 2 XL, and the iPhone X, there's a lot to like. Of course, Apple actually followed in the footsteps of Android manufacturers this year by launching not just one new smartphone, but three.

The flagship from Apple was obviously the iPhone X, as it should be. It offers plenty of high-end specs and features, some that are exclusive to the iPhone X and some that aren't, but the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus aren't bad phones by any means.

If you didn't want to fork over the cash for an iPhone X, there were other options, which is nice.

All that to say that Apple had its newest devices this year, but it also has older handsets it's still selling, like the iPhone SE for that small display form factor, and you can still get an iPhone 6s/6s Plus, too, if you are so inclined. More options for iPhones than ever before.

New iPad Pro models round out the iOS-based options for good measure.

The other new item from Apple was iOS 11, which can't be ignored. It's a software update that aims to improve the overall experience while adding some new features for the iPhone, but no one can argue that iOS 11 wasn't primarily meant for the iPad lineup. It makes the tablet family even more usable, adding the dock, drag-and-drop, and other oft-requested features.

So with all that new stuff, it's safe to say that it's been a pretty good year for the company with an Apple logo. But, what I'm curious about is whether or not any of that stuff was good enough to convince any new customers to make the switch. Whether it was the iPhone X, adopting that OLED display and going edge-to-edge, or maybe it was iOS 11 on an iPad Pro.

Whatever the reason might be, I want to hear from you if you switched to iOS this year, and, if so, what pushed you in that direction. Let me know!
