Last year, Google launched Android Experiments as a way to promote unique apps for Android. Now Google has launched an Android Experiment of its own.
Sprayscape is a new Android app from Google that uses your phone’s camera and gyroscope to paint onto a 360-degree sphere canvas. You can tap the screen to “spray” onto the canvas, and you can keep moving your phone around to capture different parts of your environment. Unlike a panorama, though, your subjects won’t necessarily be stitched together. Instead, the app will just place images on top of one another.

When you capture a Sprayscape, you can share your images over a text message or on social media. You can also use Google Cardboard to really get into the 360-degree sphere canvas and view the Sprayscape.
Sprayscape isn’t an app that you’re going to use to capture photos that you really care about, but it is a fun little app to help you create unique, artsy images. If you want to give it a try for yourself, you can grab it from Google Play right here.
