Samsung Pay Galaxy Note 5

Samsung Pay is expanding in a big way, adding new countries where the service is available and getting new features in the US.

First up, Samsung Pay will launch in Malaysia, Russia, and Thailand by the end of 2016. This expansion will bring the number of countries where Samsung Pay is available to 10.

Samsung Pay is also entering into a global partnership with MasterCard. With this agreement, Samsung Pay users will be able to use their info to checkout wherever Masterpass is accepted, which is hundreds of thousands of merchants in 33 countries.

Finally, Samsung Pay is rolling out some new features for its users in the US. Samsung Pay will begin offering discounts and coupons for nearby stores and restaurants in November. These will be available in the new Deals section in the Samsung Pay app.

Samsung Pay will also begin supporting in-app purchases in November. With this feature, you’ll be able to pay for purchases in apps like Velocity, Raise, Fancy, Hello Vino, Wish, and Touch of Modern. More apps are expected to add Samsung Pay support soon.

Samsung has also confirmed the recent additions of Capital One and USAA to Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay supports more than 500 banks and credit unions.
