BlackBerry hasn’t officially announced a phone named the DTEK60, but that hasn’t stopped one retailer from taking pre-orders for the device.
B&H Photo Video is now taking pre-orders for the BlackBerry DTEK60. Pricing is set at $499.99, but unfortunately, there’s no mention of when units might begin shipping.
What the product page does include are several high-quality images of the still-unannounced smartphone and lots of specs. According to B&H, the DTEK60 will include:
- 5.5-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display
- Snapdragon 820 processor
- 21-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone flash, and phase detection autofocus
- 8-megapixel front camera
- 4GB of RAM
- 32GB of built-in storage
- microSD slot
- 3,000mAh battery
- Quick Charge 3.0
- USB Type-C
- Fingerprint reader
- Android 6.0
Should these specs hold true, the DTEK60 looks to be a flagship device for BlackBerry and a full-touch counterpart to the Priv. Of course, there are plenty of other high-end Android phones on the market with spec lists similar to the DTEK60’s. BlackBerry looks like it’s going to compete with those phones on price, offering a device with a price tag that’s lower than flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S7, LG V20, HTC 10, and Google Pixel XL.
What do you think of this leaked BlackBerry DTEK60?
