Nearly one year after Sony introduced its flagship Xperia XZ, a new leak claims to have revealed the XZ’s follow-up.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 has reportedly been leaked by @OnLeaks and Compareraja. The images show a smartphone with Sony and Xperia branding, rounded sides, and a rear camera that’s protruding from the phone’s body. We can also see a front-facing camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
It’s worth noting that these are renders based off of factory CADs, not official renders made by Sony.
Sony is said to be packing a 19-megapixel rear camera into the Xperia XZ1’s body as well as a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. Other rumored features of the Xperia XZ1 include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.2-inch display, and Android 8.0. Its dimensions are 146.8mm x 73.4 mm x 7.6mm.
The Xperia XZ1 will allegedly be announced by Sony at IFA 2017, which runs from September 1st through September 6th. While still unofficial, this rumored Xperia XZ1 includes design features that we’ve seen on previous Sony flagships, like the large top and bottom bezels and an oblong power button on the side of the device.
