Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 official, includes four speakers and an S Pen

Samsung may not be showing the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017, but it is unveiling a high-end Android tablet.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 runs Android 7.0 on a 9.7-inch 2048x1536 Super AMOLED display. Samsung is touting the Tab S3’s multimedia capabilities, as the slate has four speakers that’ve been tuned by AKG. The Tab S3 also supports HDR video content for improved colors.

Samsung is also giving the Tab S3 some productivity-focused features. Those include an S Pen stylus for drawing and note-taking as well as an optional keyboard accessory for those times that you just need physical keys beneath your thumbs.

Other features of the Galaxy Tab S3 include a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 6000mAh battery. There’s also a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera for all of your tablet photography needs.

With its large display, quad speakers, and S Pen support, the Galaxy Tab S3 looks like Samsung’s answer to the Apple iPad Pro. The Tab S3 looks well-specced for those folks that’d prefer an Android tablet over an iOS one, and to be honest, those people don’t have many other options given how few new Android slates that we’ve seen lately.

Samsung isn’t talking launch or pricing info for the Tab S3 yet, so stay tuned for those details.
