Wileyfox Swift 2 X packs 5.2-inch display and 16MP camera, now available for €219.99

Wileyfox Swift 2 X official

Wileyfox is growing its Swift family of Android smartphones again with today’s launch of the Swift 2 X.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 X features a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display and 8-megapixel selfie camera on its face, and around back there’s a 16-megapixel camera with a Samsung sensor and phase detection autofocus. There’s also a fingerprint reader below that rear camera.

Inside the Swift 2 X’s shell lives an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor that’s paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. If you need more storage, you can insert a microSD card slot.

Rounding out the Swift 2 X’s feature set is USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM slots (one of which doubles as the microSD slot), and a 3010mAh battery.

The Swift 2 X comes pre-loaded with Cyanogen OS 13.1 based on Android 6.0.1. That’s notable because Cyanogen OS recently shut down, but Wileyfox has said that it plans to update all of its phones with an “enhanced” version of Android 7.0 by the end of Q1 2017.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 X is now available for £219.99, or $268 USD.

The Swift 2 X offers a few upgrades over its Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus siblings, including a slightly larger and higher-res display, a higher-res rear camera, and some additional RAM and storage. Those upgraded features will cost you, though, as the Swift 2 is currently priced at £159 while the Swift 2 Plus is £189.

What do you think of the Wileyfox Swift 2 X?
