Google Digital Wellbeing update adds app list icon and more

Google Digital Wellbeing app

Google's Digital Wellbeing is getting some nifty new features.

Google today confirmed an update for its Digital Wellbeing app that lets you add an app icon to your app drawer, giving you quicker access to Digital Wellbeing. Another notable feature of this update is that you can add a Grayscale tile to your Quick Settings, letting you toggle that on more quickly.

Here's the full changelog for this Digital Wellbeing update:

  • You can add an icon to your apps list for quick access
  • Edit your Quick Settings to add a Grayscale tile by tapping on the Quick Settings edit icon
  • New link to Night Light schedule on the Wind Down page
  • Visual improvements to the dashboard

Do note that you'll need to have a Google Pixel phone running Android 9 Pie to give Digital Wellbeing and these new features a try. If you are on a Pie-powered Pixel, you should get this update in the coming days.
