LG is hosting an event for the V40 ThinQ on October 3rd, but the company has decided to drop a few details about its upcoming flagship ahead of that date.
LG today confirmed that the V40 ThinQ will have a triple rear camera setup, even sharing a couple photos of the three cameras. We can see what appears to be a flash to the right of the three rear cameras as well as a fingerprint reader below it.
Also included in LG's new teaser are a bunch of references to the number five and an image that shows five cameras. That seems to suggest that the V40 ThinQ will have five cameras in total, just like the rumors suggested, with three on the back and two on the front.
Another detail confirmed by LG today is the V40 ThinQ's screen size. The LG V40 ThinQ will have a 6.4-inch screen, up from the 6-inch panel found on last year's LG V30. Unfortunately, LG hasn't gone into any other details about the screen, so we don't have info like the display resolution quite yet.
Finally, LG says that the V40 ThinQ will be available in three colors: Platinum Gray, Carmine Red, and Moroccan Blue.
LG's V series smartphones have always placed a focus on camera performance, so it's not a huge surprise to learn that LG is going big with cameras on the V40 ThinQ and placing five of them on the device. We'll have to wait a bit longer for confirmation on what exactly the cameras' features are, but rumors have suggested that the triple rear camera setup will include a standard sensor, a super wide angle lens, and a telephoto camera.
