The legal battle between Apple and Qualcomm is heating up again.
Qualcomm has accused Apple of stealing confidential information to help Intel. Qualcomm alleges that Apple stole "vast swaths" of trade secrets, including source code and tools, in order to improve the performance of chipsets from Intel.
In its filing, Qualcomm doesn't give direct evidence to support its claims, but sources tell CNBC that the company's evidence includes email correspondence between Apple and Intel engineers as well as Apple's source code development history and the code in Intel-based phones.
"Unlawful use of Qualcomm's valuable trade secrets to try to help a competitor catch up irreparably harms us and must not be allowed to continue," said Donald Rosenberg, Qualcomm's general counsel.
Qualcomm hopes to add these new charges to its existing lawsuit against Apple and have its case go to court in April.
