Google today released a new Android P Beta 3 update, but even if you're not running the beta, Google's got some goodies for you.
Google has unleashed the July 2018 Android security patches for Nexus and Pixel devices. The updates should be going out over the air now, so if you've got a Nexus or Pixel phone going back to the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, you can check for your update now. Google is also offering factory images and OTA images if you'd prefer to sideload one of them.
In addition to launching the new July 2018 security update, Google has posted an Android Security Bulletin that details what is included in the new update. There are patches for issues with the framework, media framework and system in the July 1st patch level, while the July 5th patch level adds fixes for kernel components, Qualcomm components, and more.
Google also posted a separate security bulletin for Nexus and Pixel phones. In addition to security patches related to the system, kernel components, media framework, and Qualcomm components, this July 2018 update includes a functional patch that'll improve the consistency of Wi-Fi connections with certain routers on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
