Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus may launch at T-Mobile on July 27

Moto E5 Play T-Mobile

T-Mobile has been working hard to deploy 600MHz LTE across the U.S. lately, but only select phones on T-Mo can actually access that coverage. Soon two more 600MHz LTE devices will become available.

The Moto E5 Play (above) and Moto E5 Plus (below) may be launching at T-Mobile later this week. Support pages for both phones were added to T-Mo's website today, and in the software updates section, their both listed as getting their "launch software version" on July 27th.

Both the Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus have entry-level specs. The Moto E5 Play offers features like a 5.2-inch 1280x720 screen, Snapdragon 427 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot. The Moto E5 Plus is a bit of a step up, offering a 6-inch 1440x720 screen, Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. Also notable about the Moto E5 Plus is its battery, which is a huge 5000mAh pack.

Both phones also include support for LTE Band 71, aka 600MHz, T-Mobile's flavor of LTE that reaches farther and is better at penetrating buildings than mid-band LTE. Also included are support for T-Mobile's LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 12, and 66.

There's no word yet on how much the Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus might cost when they do launch at T-Mobile. Sprint sells the Moto E5 Play for $192 and asks $288 for the Moto E5 Plus, though, so we could see similar pricing when both devices arrive on T-Mo. Stay tuned.
