We’ve already gotten some clear looks at the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but so far we’ve only seen the device in renders. Today that’s changing.
Live photos of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have surfaced on SlashLeaks. The images show the front, back, and one side of the Note 8, and everything lines up with what the previously leaked renders showed.
Around back on the Note 8 we can see a dual rear camera setup with flash and a fingerprint reader to the right of it. Around front there’s a large screen with super slim bezels and Samsung’s on-screen home button, and we can also make out an earpiece and camera above the display. Finally, the side of the phone shows the curved edge display and Bixby button.
Previous rumors have suggested that the Note 8 will include a 6.3-inch 2960x1440 Super AMOLED display at an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, a Snapdragon 835 processor, dual 12-megapixel cameras, 6GB of RAM, 64GB off storage, and a microSD slot. It’s rumored to be powered by a 3300mAh battery.
There’s a lot of anticipation for the Note 8, which is expected to make its official debut on August 23rd. Not only is it a new flagship from Samsung, but it’s the follow-up to last year’s Note 7, which was discontinued following battery issues that caused overheating. Leaks have also shown that it’ll be the first Note flagship to ditch the home button and that it’ll be the first Samsung flagship with dual rear cameras. So yeah, there’s a lot of hype for the device. The good news for Samsung is that if these leaks and rumors hold true, the Note 8 could be one of the best phones of the year.
Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Note 8?
