The LG V30 is expected to be revealed on August 31st, but the phone may have been revealed a couple of weeks before that event.
Several videos submitted as part of a challenge for LG and HITRECORD appear to have prematurely revealed the LG V30. Some user-submitted clips were uploaded today that include brief looks at both the front and the back of the V30. Unsurprisingly, it appears that videos that show the V30 are being removed.
While these videos aren’t high-resolution, we do get some pretty good looks at an LG-branded phone that lines up with leaked images of the LG V30 that we’ve seen in the past. There’s a a dual rear camera setup with a fingerprint reader below it, LG and V-series branding, and a display with slim bezels and rounded corners.
LG has confirmed that its “next flagship smartphone” — which is likely the V30 — will feature a 6-inch 2880x1440 OLED display with curved edges. Meanwhile, the rumor mill has suggested that the V30 will also include specs like a Snapdragon 835 processor, 3200mAh battery, quad DAC, and IP68 water and dust resistance.
It’s looking like the LG V30 will ditch the secondary screen that was a heavy focus of the previous V-series flagships. Without it, LG may focus more on the devices video recording capabilities and the V30’s large OLED display.
