Last month, LG sent out invitations for an event on August 31st with hints that it could be for the flagship V30. Now LG has stopped hinting and is straight up confirming what the August 31st event is all about.
The LG V30 will indeed be announced on August 31st, LG has said in an event invitation posted to its official blog. LG goes on to confirm that the V30 will feature a 6-inch OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Other LG V30 details teased include the fact that LG’s logo will be placed on the back of the V30 rather than below the display for a more minimalistic design. LG is hyping up the V30’s camera, too, pointing out that the V series has focused on camera performance and that the V30 will do the same.
While we’ll have to wait until August 31st to officially meet the V30, leaked images of LG’s next Android flagship have been circulating for weeks. Just yesterday we got a peek at the device courtesy of a promotion from HITRECORD, a company that LG has partnered with for pas V series releases. The LG V30 shown in those images has slim bezels and a screen with rounded corners, as well as a dual rear camera setup.
