Essential Phone now available to order, Sprint offering half-off lease

Essential Phone official

Nearly three months after its original debut, the Essential Phone is now available for purchase.

You can now order the Essential Phone from Best Buy, Sprint, and Essential itself. The unlocked model is $699 from Essential, while Sprint and Best Buy are selling Sprint-specific versions of the device. The unlocked Essential Phone is compatible with all four major U.S. carriers.

Sprint is offering the Essential Phone on a lease for $0 down and $29.17 per month for 18 months. For a limited time, though, Sprint is selling the device for half off, meaning you’ll pay $14.58 per month for the Essential Phone. Sprint says that Essential Phone orders will ship by August 28th.

Sprint is also selling the Essential 360-degree Camera for $199.99 or 12 monthly payments of $16.67 each.

Finally, Best Buy is asking 24 monthly payments of $29.17 each for the Essential Phone.

Also of note is that Essential CEO Andy Rubin confirmed today that the Essential Phone is guaranteed to get Android OS updates for two years, similar to Google’s Nexus and Pixel devices. Rubin also said that the Essential Phone will get monthly security updates for three years.

So now that it’s finally ready for launch, will you be ordering an Essential Phone?
