Sprint LG G6 launching on April 7, will be the carrier's first HPUE smartphone

We’ve seen several US carriers announce their LG G6 launch plans today, and rounding out the group is Sprint.

Sprint will begin taking pre-orders for the LG G6 tomorrow, March 17, and it’ll launch the phone in stores and online on April 7. Pricing will be set at $29.50 per month for 24 months, or $708 full retail.

What’s notable here is that the LG G6 is Sprint’s first High Performance User Equipment (HPUE) smartphone. This technology extends Sprint’s 2.5GHz coverage up to 30 percent farther, which Sprint says will enable the LG G6  to offer improved coverage and faster speeds.

As with the other US carriers, Sprint customers that buy an LG G6 before April 30 will get a Google Home for free. Sprint has another early adopter promo that’ll give you a 49-inch LG HDTV if you pre-order the LG G6 before April 6 and activate a new line or upgrade on an Unlimited Freedom plan. To get the free TV, you’ll also need to register on LG’s Sprint promo page.
