T-Mobile announced today that it’s beefing up its Premium Device Protection service in a big way.
T-Mobile’s JUMP! with Premium Device Protection and regular Premium Device Protection services now include AppleCare at no extra charge. These services cost $12 per month and include protection against loss, theft, accidental damage, and more, and now they include AppleCare, too.
Here’s what T-Mobile customers get with their AppleCare coverage:
- 24/7 priority access to AppleCare’s award-winning technical support via chat or phone
- Low service fees such as $29 for iPhone screen damage
- $0 for battery service
- Apple-certified repair or replacement at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers
- Hardware service with genuine Apple parts
- Software support for iOS, iCloud, and Apple-branded iOS apps
- Hardware repairs and service backed by Apple
T-Mobile customers who purchase a new iPhone or iPad can get Premium Device Protection with AppleCare for their device. T-Mo has also said that if you’ve upgraded to a new Apple device within the last 60 days, you’re eligible for this protection, so that’s something to consider if you’ve recently bought a new iPhone or iPad.
AppleCare is a nice service to have if you’ve got an iPhone or iPad. Regularly priced at $129 from Apple, it includes access to Apple customer support as well as low-cost screen damage repairs, so if you happen to drop your phone and shatter the screen, you can go get a replacement rather than having to live with it.
