Sprint Direct 2 You phone setup service has been discontinued

Sprint Direct 2 You setup service official

Sprint’s Direct 2 You service is dead.

Sprint has confirmed that it’s Direct 2 You service has been discontinued. “It was a great program,” said Sprint spokesperson Dave Tovar. “It was a great experience, and a great idea.” However, Sprint decided to end the service because the carrier must be careful about where it invests its resources, Tovar told FierceWireless.

The Direct 2 You service launched in 2015 as a way to help consumers set up their new smartphones. With it, a Sprint rep would come to you wherever you were, including your home, work, or a coffee shop, and help you activate your new phone, transfer your contacts and data from your old device, and personalize your new phone.

Sprint expanded Direct 2 You to several major metros across the US while the service was live. After launching in Kansas City, Sprint’s home base, Direct 2 You was offered in cities like Minneapolis, Seattle, Houston, and Boston.

The idea of Direct 2 You was neat, making sure that customers could get in-person help for setting up a new smartphone even if they couldn’t find time to come to a Sprint store. Now Sprint has decided that its funds would be better invested elsewhere, but the Direct 2 You service did have a nearly two year run.

Did you ever try Sprint Direct 2 You?
