Now that most of the 2018 flagship smartphones have been announced, more focus will be placed on the devices that'll appear in 2019, like the Samsung Galaxy S10.
There will be three versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10, says a new report from Bloomberg. The regular S10, codenamed "Beyond", will look similar to the S9 with an curved edge OLED screen, rounded corners, and almost no bezel at the top and bottom. It's also said that Samsung will include a fingerprint sensor built into the S10's display.
Other rumored features of the Galaxy S10 include a triple rear camera setup, a front camera that's "visible and tucked under the screen", and Android Pie. Samsung is reportedly testing an S10 prototype that does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung is also prepping a Plus version of the Galaxy S10, says today's report, as well as a cheaper model that will lack the curved edges found on the screens of recent Samsung flagships. It may also lack an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Rounding out today's Galaxy S10 leak is the news that Samsung is in talks with Verizon about a 5G version of the Galaxy S10. The goal of the partnership is to get support for 5G to help make it more popular with consumers.
While still unofficial, many of the rumors included in today's report sound pretty feasible for the Galaxy S10. Full-screen designs with slim bezels are still popular, so it'd make sense for Samsung to take its Galaxy S9 design and maybe slim down the top and bottom bezels a bit for the S10. We're now seeing phones with triple rear camera setups and in-display fingerprint sensors, too, so it's not a surprise to hear that Samsung is planning to add them to the S10 to help keep its premium flagship attractive and on the bleeding edge.
Based on what we've heard of it so far, are you interested in the Galaxy S10?
