Earlier this week, we learned that the Razer Phone 2 wasn't yet certified for use on Verizon, despite Razer touting that its new phone was Verizon-compatible at its announcement. The good news is that that's now been taken care of.
Verizon has confirmed to PhoneDog that the Razer Phone 2 has been certified for use on Verizon's network. That means that you should be able to pop your Verizon SIM into a Razer Phone 2 and use it without issue.
Verizon also notes that the Razer Phone 2 will be available tomorrow at Best Buy for BYOD activation on Verizon.
This is welcome news because there were already some folks who purchased a Razer Phone 2 expecting to use it on Verizon, but ran into issues when they tried to use it on Verizon's network. Now everything should work as expected. While it's a bummer that this was an issue at all, it's good that Razer and Verizon got the Razer Phone 2 certified for use on Verizon just a couple of days after the problem surfaced.
