Google Live Albums is a nifty feature that'll automatically add photos of people you specify to an album. This can make it easier to create a special photo album, especially for using on smart displays like Google's Home Hub. However, a new limit of the feature has recently been discovered, and it may frustrate some shutterbugs.
Google has confirmed that its Live Albums feature has a limit of 10,000 photos or videos for an album. This limit applies to private albums, whereas the limit for shared albums is 20,000 images or videos.
Users who hit the 10,000 image limit are given an alert saying "Live album paused" and telling them that they can't add any more photos.
A limit of 10,000 photos and videos is pretty high, and lots of folks may never hit it. There are some people that will, though, and the limit could be frustrating since you can't add any more photos once you hit 10,000 and Google doesn't give users much in the way of tools to control what goes into the Live Albums. If there were options to delete duplicates, bad shots, and so on, this limit may not be as big of an issue.
