Remember Verizon’s Wear24? We haven’t heard much about the Android Wear smartwatch since its launch in May, and it looks like we won’t hear much about it in the future, either.
Verizon has confirmed that the Wear24 has been discontinued. The device has disappeared from Verizon’s online store, and its former product page now redirects to a support page.
When asked about the status of the Wear24, Verizon gave the following statement to Android Police:
“Yes wear24 has been discontinued.”
It’s not a huge surprise to learn that Verizon has pulled the Wear24. The smartwatch market isn’t exactly huge, and the fact that Wear24 was only available on Verizon meant that its pool of potential buyers was even smaller.
