Apple released several iOS 11 betas before unleashing the update onto the public. Now that iOS 11 is live, it’s time for developers to start the beta grind once again.
The first iOS 11.1 beta release is now available to registered developers. If that’s you, then you can grab this update by going to Apple’s Developer Center website or Settings > General > Software Update on your device once the beta profile has been added to it.
Because the update was just released, devs haven’t had time to dig in and see what new features might be included with it. There are some confirmed iOS 11 features that missed last week’s update and may be included with iOS 11.1, though, like peer-to-peer Apple Pay support and iCloud for Messages.
There’s no word on when iOS 11.1 may be released to the public, but it’s likely that we’ll see at least a few more beta releases before a public launch happens.
Also released today is the first watchOS 4.1 beta update. Like the iOS 11.1 beta, you’ll need to be a registered developer to get it.
