If you’ve been wondering when you’ll be able to get your hands on the LG V30 in the U.S., wonder no more.
AT&T will launch the LG V30 on October 6th. Pricing will be set at 30 monthly payments of $27 each on AT&T Next.
For a limited time, AT&T says that you can get an LG V30 for free when you buy two LG V30 phones on AT&T Next, add a line, and have DirecTV service. AT&T will then give you $810 in credits spread out over 30 months.
The LG V30 is an AT&T 5G Evolution-capable device. 5G Evolution utilizes 4G LTE network technologies like 4x4 MIMO, 256 QAM, and carrier aggregation to boost speeds. The service is now available in Austin, Texas, and Indianapolis, Ind., and will roll out to other cities soon.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile will begin taking pre-orders for the LG V30 on October 5th and launch the device on October 13th. Pricing will be set at $80 down and 24 monthly payments of $30 each.
T-Mobile’s LG V30 will be the first smartphone to support the carrier’s new 600MHz LTE network, which T-Mo says will help extend its coverage in rural areas. T-Mobile 600MHz LTE is now live in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Scarborough, Maine, and will roll out to more cities later in 2017.
LG’s V30 features a 6-inch 2880x1440 OLED display with super slim bezels and 5-megapixel wide angle on its face. Around back, there’s a 16-megapixel standard sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization as well as a 13-megapixel wide angle camera. There’s a fingerprint reader below that dual rear camera setup, too.
Other features of the LG V30 include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, microSD slot, 3,300mAh battery, wireless charging support, a Hi-Fi Quad DAC for improved audio, and Android 7.1.2. LG touts that the V30 is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
