LG G7 One features 6.1-inch display, Snapdragon 835, and Android One

LG G7 One official

LG today introduced two new smartphones, and neither of them are the V40 ThinQ that's been making its way around the rumor mill lately.

The LG G7 One and LG G7 Fit are variants of the LG G7 ThinQ that launched earlier this year. First up, the LG G7 One is LG's first Android One smartphone. It's packing a 6.1-inch 3120x1440 Super Bright Display, Snapdragon 835 processor (down from the Snapdragon 845 in the LG G7 ThinQ), 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of bult-in storage, along with a microSD card slot if you'd like to add more storage.

Around back, the LG G7 One has a single 16MP camera with f/1.6 aperture rather than the dual rear camera setup found on the LG G7 ThinQ. There's an 8MP wide angle camera around front in the LG G7 One's display notch, and a 3000mAh battery is powering the whole package. Other notabel specs include a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, HDR10, IP68 water and dust resistance, a rear fingerprint reader, and Android 8.1 Oreo without LG's custom user interface.

The LG G7 One looks like it could be an interesting device. It's got many of the same specs as the LG G7 ThinQ, save for having last year's processor and a single rear camera, but it retains the same look as the G7 ThinQ and has vanilla Android 8.1. What's more, LG says that it plans to sell the G7 One for an "exceptional price", so this phone could be worth keeping an eye out for if you like the LG G7 ThinQ but would prefer an Android One experience.

And then there's the LG G7 Fit. This model steps down to a Snapdragon 821 processor but is still equipped with 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. There's a 6.1-inch 3120x1440 Super Bright Display here along with a 16MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP wide angle front camera, and 3000mAh battery. It's also packing Android 8.1, a Quad DAC, HDR10, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a rear fingerprint reader.

There's no word yet on when the LG G7 One or LG G7 Fit will launch to consumers.
