Android P will reportedly be released on August 20th

Google has offered a few Android P beta releases to date, but if you've been hesitant to load beta software onto your daily driver, we may now know when you'll get the full Android P beta release.

Android P may be released to the public on August 20th, according to prominent leaker Evan Blass. Google recently said that it will release Android P later this summer, but the company hasn't given a concrete release date for the next major version of Android.

A release on August 20th would put the launch of Android P almost exactly one year after the public release of Android Oreo. The update to Android P brings new features like official notch support (no more than two notches, though!), gesture navigation, and Do Not Disturb improvements. There are also digital wellness features to help you see how much you use your phone and set App Timers, and a feature called App Actions will try to predict what you want to do next with your phone, like play a Spotify playlist after you plug in headphones.

Have you tried the Android P beta? If so, how has it worked for you?
