One day after pushing out a new iOS 11.4.1 beta, Apple has unleashed another iOS 12 beta release.
iOS 12 beta 2 is now available to developers. The update comes two weeks after the first iOS 12 beta release and is available to registered iOS developers. If that's you, then you can download iOS 12 beta 2 over the air or from Apple's Developer Center.
The update to iOS 12 brings with it many new features. Apple has said that it's placing a major focus on performance improvements with iOS 12, but it's also adding new stuff like grouped notifications to help you clean up your lock screen. New digital wellness features will help you better understand how much you use your phone, and new Do Not Disturb options will help you cut down on distractions, including a Do Not Disturb during Bedtime feature will dim your screen and block notifications from appearing.
Apple is adding four new Animoji with iOS 12 — a tiger, a koala, a dinosaur, and a ghost — and it's also adding Memoji. With Memoji, you can create custom Animoji by selecting your skin tone, hairstyle, and more. Also coming with iOS 12 is a Shortcuts feature that'll let you quickly perform actions in third-party apps using Siri.
iOS 12 will launch to the public this fall. It'll be available to all devices running iOS 11.
