One day after pushing an iOS 11.0.2 update to the iPhone and iPad, Apple has released a new update for the Apple Watch, too.
watchOS 4.0.1 is now available for download. This update is only available for the Apple Watch Series 3, though, so don’t get worried if you’ve got an earlier model and aren’t seeing watchOS 4.0.1.
As for what’s included, this update addresses a Wi-Fi bug that has been affecting the performance of the Apple Watch Series 3 for some owners. The bug would cause the Apple Watch to try and connect to unusable Wi-Fi hotspots instead of an LTE signal in order to save battery, but then it couldn’t actually use that Wi-Fi connection.
If you’ve got an Apple Watch Series 3, you can snag this update by going into General > Software Update in the Watch app on your iPhone.
