Tomorrow’s the day that Google is hosting an event to show its new hardware, including the Pixel 2, but it looks like Walmart pulled the trigger on one of those devices a bit early.
Walmart briefly put up a listing for the Google Home Mini on its website. The entry has since been pulled, but 9to5Google snagged some details before it disappeared. The Google Home Mini was listed at a price of $49, which is considerably less than the $129 asking price for the standard Google Home.
Spec details for the Google Home Mini are still light, but Walmart did say that the device weighs less than a pound and measures 4.53 x 4.53 x 4.72 inches. The listing also included several images of the Google Home Mini, including one that gives us another look at the Pixel 2 XL.
Google is expected to introduce the Google Home Mini at its event tomorrow, October 4th. It looks like this Google Home Mini could be a solid addition to Google’s hardware lineup, giving the Amazon Echo Dot some competition and giving consumers a much more affordable way to get a Google Home device and Google Assistant into their homes.
