Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 reportedly shown off in leaked photos

Refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 photos leak

Samsung recently confirmed that it plans to offer refurbished Galaxy Note 7 phones in some parts of the globe, and now images of that refurbed Note 7 appear to have leaked out.

The device shown in these leaked photos looks a lot like the Galaxy Note 7, complete with a curved edge screen, iris scanner, and physical home button. The “About phone” screen shows that the device is running Android 7.0 below a Samsung UI and that the phone identifies itself as the SM-N935. To compare, the original Galaxy Note 7 was the SM-N930.

One other detail of note is that the device claims that it’s got a 3200mAh battery. That’s a smidge smaller than the original Note 7, which came equipped with a 3500mAh battery.

When Samsung detailed the issues that caused the original Note 7 to overheat, it said that one of the problems was a design flaw in the upper right corner of the battery that made the electrodes prone to bending. It’s possible that a smaller battery combined with the knowledge that Samsung has gained from the Note 7 debacle could mean that this Note 7 won’t be prone to the same battery issues that affected the original.

Samsung hasn’t revealed exactly where in the world it’ll offer the refurbished Note 7, saying only that it won’t be available in the US. If you had access to a refurbished Note 7 with a smaller battery, would you buy one?
