Remember the Sony Xperia XA1? If this Android 7.0 smartphone made an impression on you when it debuted back in February, you’ll be pleased to learn that it’s now available for pre-order.
Amazon and Best Buy are now taking pre-orders for the Xperia XA1 ahead of its May 1 launch. Pricing is set at $299, and the color options for the Sony smartphone include black, white, gold, and pink.
Sony’s Xperia XA1 is being sold unlocked and includes support for GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. Its LTE support includes bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 28, 29, and 66.
The Xperia XA1 is a mid-range Android phone that’s packing a 5-inch 1920x1080 display, 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS for mobile image sensor and 23mm wide angle lens, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with its own 23mm wide angle lens. Also included is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 2300mAh battery that charges of USB-C.
The Sony Xperia XA1 is definitely a mid-range smartphone, but it’s got a price tag to match and a display with super slim side bezels that should make one-handed use easier. If you’re in the market for a new affordable Android phone, you can take a look at the Xperia XA1 at Amazon right here and at Best Buy right here.
