ZTE Axon 7 Mini update includes security patches, general enhancements

Heads up, ZTE Axon 7 Mini owners in the US, because a new software update is coming your way.

ZTE USA has introduced update B21 for the Axon 7 Mini. Exactly what’s new in this update will depend on which software version you’re coming from. For example, Axon 7 Mini owners coming from B12 will gain T-Mobile VoLTE and updated Google applications.

Here are all of the changes announced by ZTE:

B12-B21 Release:

• Support T-Mobile HD Voice call (VoLTE). (Can be enabled via Settings->All Settings->More->VOLTE Voicecall)
• Google security patches updated through December
• New APN added to match all major North American carriers
• Google Applications updated
• Enhanced and optimized camera focus speed and night mode
• Other general enhancements
• **Recommendation** Please make sure the battery level is over 30% to avoid update failure caused by low battery

 
B14MR2-B21 & B16-B21 Release:

• Google security patches updated through December
• New APN added to match all major North American carriers
• Other general enhancements
• **Recommendation** Please make sure the battery level is over 30% to avoid update failure caused by low battery

This update is starting its rolling Thursday morning, so if you’ve got a ZTE Axon 7 Mini, you’d better keep an eye out for it.
