Google says new YouTube Music begins rolling out today

As expected, the new YouTube Music is arriving today.

Google has announced that its new YouTube Music subscription service is beginning to roll out today. However, Google says that it's now rolling out in "early access", and it appears that the service is being made available in stages.

The new YouTube Music will be available first in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. Launches in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom are coming soon.

The new YouTube Music Premium is priced at $9.99 per month and includes ad-free music listening, downloads, and background listening. Also available is a YouTube Premium subscription that's priced at $11.99 per month and includes an ad-free experience across YouTube, background play, downloads, and access to YouTube Originals content.

Current Google Play Music and YouTube Red subscribers will be grandfathered in with their existing features and price. Google Play Music users will also continue to have access to their purchased music, uploads, and playlists in that service.

It's unclear exactly when the new YouTube Music  will be available to all users, and it's kind of strange to see Google slowly rolling it out. The company will let you sign up to be notified when you get early access, so if you're interested in YouTube Music, you can do that right here.
