Samsung Galaxy S8 Active appears to have passed through the FCC

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active AT&T FCC leak

We’ve heard rumblings that a Galaxy S8 Active is in the works, and now another piece of evidence that supports the device’s existence has come to light.

A device that appears to be the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has appeared in the FCC’s database. The image you see above was included in the FCC’s entry for this device, and the phone’s backside includes Samsung and AT&T logos.

This phone’s body also includes a large bumper-style case surrounding its exterior that’s reminiscent of past Galaxy S Active phones, and the layout of the rear camera, flash, and fingerprint reader on this device is similar to the Galaxy S8.

This phone is listed as having the model number SM-G892A, which lines up with previous Galaxy S8 Active leaks. The FCC’s entry says that this device includes support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and MST (which suggests that Samsung Pay is included), and LTE bands 2/4/5/7/12/30/38/41/66.

There’s still no word on when the Galaxy S8 Active might officially launch, but now that it’s passed through the FCC, the device is one step closer to hitting store shelves. Stay tuned.
