ASUS ZenFone 4 Max official

If battery life is a major factor when you’re shopping for a new smartphone, then you may want to check out ASUS’s new ZenFone 4 Max.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max was recently announced with a 5,000mAh battery. ASUS touts that it’s built in PowerMaster tech to help the battery last longer and also charge fast, which is good to hear since that’s a big battery to have to recharge. ASUS says that you can also use the ZenFone 4 Max’s beefy battery to recharge other devices using the included OTG cable.

ASUS is also highlighting the cameras on the ZenFone 4 Max. Around back there’s a dual rear camera setup, one with a 13-megapixel sensor, f/2.0 aperture, EIS, and phase detection autofocus, while the other camera has a 120-degree wide angle lens. Around front is an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and some software beautification features.

Other features of the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max include a 5.5-inch display, a Snapdragon 425 or 430 processor depending on the variant, up to 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, a microSD slot, dual SIM slots, FM radio, and microUSB. ASUS has preloaded the ZenFone 4 Max with Android 7.0 and a custom ZenUI user interface.

The ZenFone 4 Max will launch in Russia at a price of 13,900 rubles ($230 USD). It’s unclear when it might launch in other markets.

We’ll have to wait and see how well the phone’s dual rear cameras perform, but one thing that seems pretty likely is that the ZenFone 4 Max’s 5,000mAh battery will give the phone some solid battery life. So if that’s important to you, keep an eye out for the ZenFone 4 Max.
