Facebook now lets you order food using its app

Facebook Order Food iPhone app

You can do all kinds of things on Facebook, including play a game, see your friend’s travel photos, and watch a live broadcast. Now you can order food, too.

Starting today, October 13th, you can order food using Facebook. The feature is rolling out everywhere in the U.S. on iOS, Android, and the desktop.

You can order food by going to the Explore section of Facebook and going to Order Food. From there, you can see what’s available in your area and start your order. You can also choose which service you’d like to use if the restaurant that you’re ordering from offers multiple service options.

Facebook’s Order Food feature combines services like EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, and Olo. Facebook has also teamed up with restaurants like Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, and Panera.

This is one of the stranger features that we’ve seen Facebook add to its app in awhile. That said, Facebook wants to make ordering food easier, and this new feature could do it since it combines several different services and restaurants into the Facebook app. While you may not see every nearby restaurant and service available, perhaps the next time that you’re scrolling through your News Feed and your stomach grumbles, you can use the Order Food to quickly order a bite to eat.
