Do you have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8 that never got the Android 8.0 Oreo update that began rolling out on April 1? If so, we now know why that update never came.
T-Mobile says that the Galaxy Note 8's Oreo update is "temporarily on hold". The update began rolling out on April 1 but was paused on April 3.
T-Mo doesn't offer any details as to why the update was paused, but it's likely that some bug was discovered and so a new build had to be created. Unfortunately, it's unclear when the update might begin rolling out again, but hopefully it'll be soon since the original Oreo update was paused three weeks ago.
