Way back in July 2017, Samsung announced that it was planning to add PayPal support to Samsung Pay. Fast-forward to April 2018 and that feature is finally rolling out.
Samsung and PayPal have confirmed today that PayPal support in Samsung Pay is now rolling out. With it, you can use PayPal to make purchases at retailers that support Samsung Pay.
To use PayPal with Samsung Pay, just tap the "+" in the upper right corner of the Samsung Pay home screen, select "Add PayPal" in the "Add payment card" section, and follow the steps to add your PayPal account and your funding source to top-up the account. You can then use PayPal through Samsung Pay and continue to earn Samsung Rewards points when you do.
A lot of people like to use PayPal for online purchases, and so it's nice to see that PayPal is now an option for making payments with your phone in real stores, too. Also good to see is that Samsung Pay continues to improve and add more payment options for Samsung Galaxy owners.
